Sport engagement can benefit children who have
underachievement and minimize the risk of school dropouts.
Learning difficulty is a condition that can cause an individual to experience problems in a traditional classroom learning
context (PE classes included). It may interfere with literacy skills development and maths and can also affect memory, ability to
focus, organizational skills, perceptual-motor function, social behaviour and more.
Students who struggle to read, due to learning difficulties, are more likely to drop out of school before they can complete the
basic education.
